Welcome to the Home Page of Wind Musher. Wind Musher is the name of a 26x foot Macgregor sail boat that is used in the interior of Alaska and Prince William Sound, Valdez area. This home page is to share the experiences of Alaska aboard the trailer sail boat Wind Musher. We bought Wind Musher in May 2001 and after adding the personal touches and conveniences we started our new adventure exploring Alaska lakes and Prince William Sound. The Macgregor 26x is the ideal boat for what we needed. You can go to the next page and it is a complete description of the boat as well as pictures. You will find some links to web sites I think offer real value to the customer, guide services, boating equipment and more. Click though the pages and you will find interesting pictures, fish, Alaska Vista's and general stories of trips and pictures of Alaska. After learning to sail on a Hobie One 14 ft sail boat in the lakes around Fairbanks area, we decided to step up to a boat that we could take in to Prince William Sound and be able to live aboard for a week at a time. The Macgregor 26x sail boat was the boat that fit our needs. The Macgregor 26x has accommodations for four comfortably and a head and galley. The 26x has the ability to carry a 50 hp outboard motor and can be tailored. Go to this link for the factory web site with pictures options and prices.
